Overview
from
the 2007 World Championships |
The
competition was divided into 2 sections with the Top 21 ranked world
skaters being in Part B and the rest of the skaters being in Part
A. Sean did his Country proud and skated a new PB (personal best)
with a clean short program & placed 7th of 21 in Part A of the event.
After the next 21 skated the results were added together to give a
result out of 42.
Sean’s final result was 28/42 with a total score of 49.73. It was
a great event with some great skating and lots of skaters hitting
new PB’s which made it very exciting. The Australian judge, Simone
Moore was drawn for Pairs so unfortunately we didn’t have a judge
on the event.
With the new system of selection for the long program the top 24 go
through to the long. Sean missed out on this by 4 places but has improved
his ranking from 32nd last year and has moved closer to that elusive
goal. He is very pleased with his skate. |
