Bradley
Santer has a busy life - while attending University, coaching
youngsters and judging AussieSkate competitions, he trains 22
hours a week on the ice. Following an unsuccessful 2001 season,
Santer opined "I had two disappointing international events. Then
I sustained a serious knee injury which kept me off the ice for
6 months. So I have a lot of catch up to do," he said. Santer
placed second at Nationals last December.
"I
am working on the 3-axel and the quad and hope to have a triple
lutz/triple toe for both programs. I am working on a variation
sequence for my new free program," he said. He has chosen "Clubbed
to Death" from Matrix for his short. At press time he was still
searching for music for the long. Both programs will be choreographed
by Galina Pachin.
Coach
Andre Pachin encourages international training. "I would love
to train in Canada with Jan Ullmark or Doug Lee this summer,"
Santer said.
Asked
about his goals for 2003, he replied "to win a place on the 2003
World Team. That would be amazing." Australia will send two men
to this event.
"I've been using a lot of visualization techniques. I have always
loved Elvis's style and I think he is the friendliest skater out
there. I also love to watch Scott Hamilton and I am a big fan
of Alexei Yagudin," he said.
